Mr. Johnnie David Abner, Sr Funeral Notice   Mr. John (Johnnie) David Abner, Sr., 90, of West Point, GA died Sunday, August 13, 2023, at WellStar West Georgia, LaGrange, GA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at St. John Baptist Church, 820 Cherry Drive, Lanett at 1:00 p.m. (EST) with Rev. Charles Trammell officiating. Interment will be in Handy Cemetery, LaFayette. The remains will lie in state at the church from 12:00 noon (EST) until the funeral hour. Public viewing will be Friday, August 18, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (EST) at Vines Funeral Home. Mr. Abner is survived by one daughter: Cheryl (Carl) Haynes, West Point, GA; seven sons: Virgil (Sally) Abner, West Point, GA, Theophilus (Kim) Abner, Valley, John Abner, Jr., Lewis Abner & Kenneth Abner all of Lanett Juran (Jackie) Brown, LaGrange, GA, and Richard (Yolando) Tucker, Opelika; one sister: Carolyn (Larry) Bailey, West Point, GA; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, thirteen great, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and two special friends: Doug Harris, West Point, GA and Namon Harris, Lanett.
