Mr. Bishop Lockhart, III, 71, of Waverly died Monday, March 13, 2023, at Lafayette Nursing Home, LaFayette. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Mt. Pelia Missionary Baptist Church, Camp Hill at 1:00 p.m. (CST) with Rev. Otis J. Tyner, Jr., officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church from 12:00 noon (CST) until the funeral hour. Public viewing will be Friday, March 17, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (CST) at Vines Funeral Home.
Mr. Lockhart is survived by two sisters: Rebecca Lockhart, LaFayette and Linda Faye Moss, Auburn; two aunts: Lucy Mae Heard, Lanett and Bertha Robinson, Waverly; a devoted niece: Shawanda (Frederick) Walton, Valley and several other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
