Funeral Notice
Mrs. Levater McCoy Philpot, 83, of LaFayette died Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at LaFayette Extended Care, LaFayette. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, LaFayette on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. (CST) with Rev. Ed Vines officiating. Interment will be in Bell Chapel cemetery, LaFayette. The remains will lie in state at the church from 12:00 p.m. (CST) until the funeral hour. Public viewing will be at Vines Funeral Home, Friday, March 10, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. (CST).
Mrs. Philpot is survived by one sister: Cornelia McCoy Brooks, LaFayette; three special nephews: Joecobie Brooks and Willie George McCoy both of LaFayette and Robert (Penelope) Howard, Roanoke; six special nieces: Loretta (James) Malone, Lakeyshia Brooks, Neanna Brooks and Qushika Brooks all of Lanett and Virginia (James) Wright and Torrie Ross both of LaFayette and a host of other relatives and friends.
