Ms. Janet Darlene Martin, 81, of LaFayette died Monday, October 6, 2025, at her son’s residence in LaFayette. A memorial service will be held in early November in Georgia.
Janet was born February 25, 1944, in Holly Springs, GA to the late A. Leon and Esther V. Garmon.
She worked as a Registered Nurse for Kennestone/WellStar Hospital for 37 years in the CCU/ICU and later in home health and social services fields.
Janet was known for her caring heart, love of family and her pets. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling and square dancing.
Janet is survived by her three sons: Douglas (Angela) Martin, LaFayette, David Martin, Kennesaw, GA and Scott (Jenny) Martin, Hiram, GA; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren and a host of friends.
