Mr. Willie Rufus James Funeral Notice Mr. Willie Rufus James, 85, of Wadley died Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Lynridge of Huntsville Assisted Living & Memory Care. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, AL 77, Wadley at 1:00 p.m. (CST) with Rev. William Russell officiating. The remains will lie in state at the church from 12:00 p.m. (CST) until the funeral hour. The interment will be in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (CST) at Vines Funeral Home. Mr. James is survived by his beloved wife: Drucilla James, Huntsville; his children: Tarcia James, Augusta, GA, Kenya James, Tampa, FL, Dexter James (Markae) , Huntsville, and Lashekia Wilson (Michael), Sylacauga; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Gwendolyn Boykin, Pasadena, CA and Joyce Green, Carson, CA; one brother: Michael James, Wadley; one sister-in-law: Brunette Burden, Roanoke and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
