Mr. Charlie Lewis Hill Funeral Notice Mr. Charlie Lewis Hill, 54, of LaFayette died Monday, March 9, 2026, at Highlands Rehabilitation & Wellness Facility, Birmingham. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 11322 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, LaFayette at 1:00 p.m. (CST) with Rev. Loren Manley officiating. The remains will lie in state at the church from 12:00 p.m. (CST) until the funeral hour. The interment will be in Essie J. Handy Memorial Cemetery, LaFayette. Public viewing will be on Monday, March 16, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (CST) at Vines Funeral Home. He is survived by his daughter: Ma’Kenzie Sha’kayla Hill; four sisters: Minnie Lockhart-Bulger, Margaret (Willie) Bulger both of Opelika, Evelyn (Ronnie) Huguley and Virginia Jackson both of LaFayette; two brothers: Eddie Hill and John W. Hill both of LaFayette; seven nieces, three nephews, seventeen great nieces & nephews, eleven great-great nieces & nephews; a beloved friend as a sister, Tracy Jennings; a dear friend, Cassandra and the Highlands Rehabilitation and Wellness family and a host of relatives and friends. Comments / Condolences WILLIE WILLIS Ma'Kenzie, I am so sorry to hear about your father's passing. He was one of the best fathers that I had the pleasure of getting to know during my 20 years of teaching at Eastside. He adorned you and was so proud to be your dad. He let me know real quick that he didn't play about you. We got to know each other over time and became pretty good buddies. I know you will miss him tremendously. I pray that God grants you peace and comfort during this difficult time. GAIL AND THELMA Mr. Hill was a compassionate resident who was well-loved by staff and peers. He demonstrated a kind and cooperative demeanor and maintained positive interactions with others. We will always remember him sitting by the window, playing his music, and socializing with others.
