Mr. Jessie Lee (Boo Boo) Kirk, 71, of LaFayette died Friday, November 18, 2022, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022, at St. Luke CME Church, Oak Bowery at 1:00 p.m. (CST) with Rev. Winfred McCoy, officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church from 12:00 noon (CST) until the funeral hour. Public viewing will be Friday, November 25, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (CST) at Vines Funeral Home.
Mr. Kirk is survived by one daughter: Angela Oliver (Justin), Opelika; three sons: Marcus Johnson, Montgomery, Jeremaine Johnson, Valley and Kelsey Finley, Tuskegee; two sisters: Jeanette Hughley, Valley and Kathleen Kirk, LaFayette; three brothers: Eddie B (Florene) Kirk, Jr. and Mathew Kirk both of Lanett and Carl (Mildred) Kirk, LaFayette; four grandchildren: Aiden Brown, Juelz Hollingsworth, Simone Haley and Chloe Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
