CHARLES YOUNG
To Mrs, Vines ,Norman, Darryl and the Vines Family My heart is feeling heavy at this time for the loss of our dear Stevie .He was my little brother, friend and fellow Alumni. I thought about sending flowers but they can wither and eventually fade away. Then I said a nice poem or other great things to say about Stevie. Poems and words are soon forgotten. So I thought about something that can make the memory of Craig Stevie (Mellow) Vines last for a long time. On Behalf of the Erasmus Hall Alumni Association we will give a 1,500 scholarship in the name of Craig Steven (Mellow) Vines to a graduating senior of Erasmus Hall HS that has an interest in Deejaying and Music. My Vines Family I feel deeply your grief and sorrow but just know that I and the Erasmus Hall Alumni Family are always with you. DEBRA YOUNG
My Dear Ms. Vines, Norman, and Darryl, I was saddened to learn of the transition of our beloved Stevie. Our families have always shared a close relationship and I consider you as my other mother, Stevie, Norman, and Darryl as brothers and Beverly as my sister. Beverly and I were the only girls in both our families so we shared a special bond. I will always remember the times Stevie and I shared together when he lived in Maryland. He was a frequent dinner guest and our visits drew us even closer together as brother and sister. He always raved about my cooking, which made me feel so good. But I think that may have been his way of making sure to get a "doggie bag" to take home with him. (Smiles) Since he was a bachelor I always made much more food than we were able to eat and he was very happy to take some off my hands and I was happy to share it with him. Please know that Mother and I and the entire Young family share your grief and are praying for comfort and peace for your family which can only come from God. Take comfort in knowing that Beverly was there to welcome Stevie home with open arms. We can also rest in the assurance that we will see our loved ones who have gone on before us again in that great getting-up morning. Never forget, weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Trust, depend and lean on God until your morning comes. Much Love, Elouise, Debra, and the Young family
