Funeral Notice

 

Mr. James Edward Joiner, 73,  of Woodland died Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Capital Hill Health Care Center, Montgomery.   Funeral services will be held at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 687 County Road 51, Woodland on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. (CST) with Rev. William Crawford officiating. Interment will be in the Floyd & Nancy Joiner Family Cemetery, Woodland.  The remains will lie instate at the church from 11:00 a.m. (CST) until the funeral hour.  Public viewing will be at Vines Funeral Home, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. (CST).

 Mr. Joiner is survived by his two sisters: Cassie Stone, Woodland and Martenir Lott of Fairburn, Georgia; three brothers: Floyd Sears,Jr., Chicago, Illinois, Willie Joiner (Jean) and Larry Joiner both of Woodland and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Uncle Jack You are truly missed. Whenever I would come into town I would always stop by the store just so I could see you and talk with you. I oh so much miss those days. You would tell me who all you had seen that day, lol. I miss those days sitting on the porch with you and Grandpa,talking, trying to figure out who's driving down to the house from the church. Lol, a much simpler time, it was. Times have so much changed. Rest now my uncle until that time when our LORD comes for us. Shalom
