Mr. Jeffery Lynn Jackson, Sr., 57, of Lanett died Monday, May 8, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at New Zion Baptist Church, Lanett on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. (EST) with Rev. J. D. Banks officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church from 11:00 a.m. (EST) until the funeral hour. Public viewing will be at Vines Funeral Home, Friday, May 12, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. (EST).
Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife: Angela Jackson, Lanett; one son: Jeffery Jackson, Jr., LaGrange, GA; five daughters: Eboni (Renaldo) Miller and Chelsey (Nehemiah) Jackson both of Atlanta, GA, Mercedes (Benson) Jackson, Fort Valley, GA, Chequina Watkins and Charron (John) Sutton both of LaGrange, GA; four brothers: Joe N. Jackson, Lanett, Milton Jackson, Warren, MI, James P. Jackson, Pensacola, FL and Marcus (Nina) Jackson, Clarksville, TN; three sisters: Sara M. Bailey, Lanett, Sherry (Dennis) Fitzpartick, Phenix City and Regina (Eddie) Hulin; two aunts: Nancy Hughley and Daisy Gilliam both of West Point, GA; two uncles: Frank Jackson, LaGrange, GA and Lee Jackson, Chattanooga, TN; four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
