Funeral Notice

 

Mrs. Mildred Ray, 80, of Waverly died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the Bethany House, Auburn.  Funeral services will be held at Vines Funeral Home Chapel, LaFayette on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. (CST) with
 Rev. G. H. Pulliam, officiating. Interment will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, LaFayette. Public viewing will be at Vines Funeral Home, Friday, February 3, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 6: 00 p.m. (CST).

Mrs. Ray is survived by one son: James (Darshel) Ray, Queens Village, NY; six grandchildren, Jamiece Ray, Janea Ray, Jionne Ray, Lashawn Ray and Malcolm Ray all of New York; one special granddaughter, Constance Ray, Opelika; two great grandsons: Unique Ray and Dominque Ray both of Opelika; one aunt: Annie Pearl Lytle, Detroit, Michigan; one sister-in-law: Lois Ray, LaFayette; one god-daughter: Ruby (Larry) Presley, LaFayette; one god-son: Jerry Holloway , LaFayette; two grand god-children: Latetra Presley, Auburn and Alesha Presley, LaFayette; four great grand god-children and a host of nieces, nephew and friends.

Sorry to hear the death of Mildred. She and I are cousins on the Holloway and Finley family of LaFayette, Al. My prayers are with the immediated family.

My condolences to the Ray family, I remember Ms. Mildred with fondness, even when she didn't feel well, when I saw her she was always smiling, may the God of peace grant you comfort during your difficult time(2 Corinthians 1:3&4)

Cousins, my deepest sympathy on your loss. I will always fondly remember Aunt Mildred for her wonderful smile, great cooking, and the beautiful hairstyles she gave me when I was a kid.

My prays are for the family. I lost my mother August 2016 so I know what you are feeling. I am Louise Allen ( Monroe Ray oldest daughter) not by Mrs. Lois. Mildred and Clanton and I share must time together with Kelly and Evelina and Mrs. Cassie Sanford. That your parents took care of. My you find peace and joy in the love that she gave to her family.
