Funeral Notice

 

Ms. Annie Elizabeth Grier, 67, of Battle Creek, MI (formerly of Roanoke) died Wednesday, December 28, 2016 in Greensboro, N.C.   Funeral services will be held at Peace & Goodwill Baptist Church, Roanoke on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. (CST) with Rev. L. B. Houston officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.  The remains will lie in state at the church from 12:00 p.m. (CST) until the funeral hour.


 Ms. Grier was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Roanoke, Alabama.  Attended Mt. Bethel Methodist Church and Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church growing up as a youth.  Upon moving to Battle Creek Michigan, she joined Second Baptist Church and was a faithful member until becoming unable to attend. 

Mrs. Grier was a graduate of RCTS class of 1966.  She went on to continue her education in Battle Creek MI.  Her work experience included: Education Consultant Team Lead, Allegiant Asset Management, Retirement Plan Education Consultant at National City Bank for 24 years; Employee Education Consultant, Retirement Plan Education Consultant at PNC Bank from 1993 to 2010 where she retired. 

Ms. Grier is survived by her paternal sister and caregiver: Ella R. Grier, Greensboro, NC and a host of  nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
