Mr. Clifford D. Lyons
Funeral Notice
Mr. Clifford D. Lyons, 54, of Camp Hill, died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center, LaGrange, GA. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, Lanett on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. (EST) with Rev. George Rampey officiating. Interment will be in the Sardis cemetery, Camp Hill. The remains will lie in state at the church from 12:00 noon (EST) until the funeral hour. Public viewing will also occur at Vines Funeral Home, Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 12:00 noon to 7: 00 p.m. (EST).
Mr. Lyons was born February 9, 1962 in Chambers County to Alfred and Betty Chislom Lyons. He graduated from Valley High School in 1980. He later attended Southern Union State Community College, Auburn University and received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Troy University. Mr. Lyons had been employed by West Point Stevens and Uniroyal prior to joining Interface where he was a Supervisor. He served fourteen years as a member of the Chambers County Board of Education; and, was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, Lanett.
Mr. Lyons is survived by his devoted wife of thirty-one years: Inis (Tammy) Lyons, Camp Hill; two daughters: Candace & Tamara Lyons, Camp Hill; one son: Jarrod (Chaquala) Lyons, Valley; parents: Alford & Betty Lyons, Lanett; two sisters: Alfreda (Kenneth) Page, Lanett & Alicia Cooper, Columbus, GA; two brothers: Kenneth (Wilma) Lyons, Cussetta & Tracy Lyons, West Point, GA; two grandsons: Jace & Karter; four brothers-in-law: Larry (Dique)Finley, Milton Finley, Jr., Lester (Brenda) Finley & Ellis (Sharon) Finley; seven sisters-in-law: Mae Lee Busby, Janice Burton, Peggy Golatte, Stacie Moore, Virginia (Larry) Burton, Ellen Dorsey & Mary Finley; and, a host of other relatives and friends.
