Funeral Notice
Mrs. Lillie Kate Harris, 86, of LaGrange, GA (formerly of Chambers County) died Sunday, July 6, 2025, at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Friendship Baptist Church # 2, LaFayette at 1:00 p.m. (CST) with Rev. Curtis Spidell officiating. The remains will lie in state at the church from 12:00 p.m. (CST) until the funeral hour. The interment will be in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 2:00 p.m.to 6:00 p.m. (CST) at Vines Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harris is survived by her son Jerry (Patricia) Wright whom she loved and adored and her son Davious “Luke” Huguley whom she helped raise and considered her own. Three stepchildren; Tina Huzzie, Floyd Green and Felton Harris. Siblings; O.D. Wright Jr., and Willie Jean Phillips both of Roanoke AL, Nancy (Jimmy) Higgins, LaFayette AL and Eyvonne (William) Carwell, Lanett AL. One sister-in-law, Virginia Wright, LaFayette AL. Four Granddaughters; LaSha (Charles) Dunn, Angela (Curtis) Abner, both of LaFayette AL, LaRhonda (Tyrone) Brown, Wadley AL, and Shannon (Diore) Allen, Phenix City AL. One special grandson whom she loved and adored, Gregory “Tater Bug” (Donna) Spence, Notasulga AL. Great grandchildren; Rodriguez Spence, Kenya Spence, Canshavia Zachary, LaKeisha Zachery, Deangelo Abner, Diamond Abner, Jameria (Lee) Camper, Jayden Allen, Beaunka Staples, Keshuna Brown, and Randy Brown, eight great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
