Funeral Notice

 

Mr. Willie James Green,  50, of Opelika died Sunday, February 17, 2019, at Piedmont Columbus Regional Medical Center, Columbus, GA  Funeral  services will be held at Vines Funeral Home Chapel,  LaFayette on Thursday,  February 21, 2019 at  1:00 p.m. (CST) with Rev. Greg Sutton officiating.  Interment will be in Handy cemetery, LaFayette. The remains will lie in state at the chapel from 12:00 p.m. (CST) until the funeral hour.  Public viewing will be at Vines Funeral Home, Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 12: 00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (CST).

Mr. Green is survived by his mother, Jessie Mary Sutton, LaFayette; a devoted friend of twenty-eight years: Lynn Giles, Opelika; two brothers: Jerry Sutton, LaFayette and Rickey (Sharon) Cooks, Huntsville; a sister: Mamie L. Sutton, Camp Hill;  two aunts: Betty Lou Haynes, LaFayette and Sarah Francis Cooks, Sylacauga; a good friend; Dennie Mae Brooks, LaFayette; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
