Funeral Notice

 

Mrs. Myra Webb Hicks, 90, of Camp Hill died Monday, February 11, 2019 at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika. Funeral services will be held at Centerview Baptist Church, Camp Hill on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. (CST) with Rev. Jimmial Harrison officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church from 12:00 p.m. (CST) until the funeral hour. Public viewing will be at Vines Funeral Home, Friday, February 15, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 7: 00 p.m. (CST).

Mrs. Hicks was born to the late Albert & Lizzie Hicks on January 17, 1929 in Chambers County.  She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, J. D. Hicks.  Mrs. Hicks was a talented homemaker, a skilled seamstress, and an exceptional baker.  She was also the oldest member of the Centerview Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hicks is survived by six children, Eddie Ruth (Leroy) Richardson, Alexander City, Lillie Hicks & Joann (Willie) Bryant and Ricky (Joann) Hicks  all of Camp Hill, Carolyn Hicks, Los Angeles, CA and Pauline Ware, Opelika;  two siblings: Carl Webb, San Bernardino, CA and Elaine Soils, San Diego, CA; twenty-six grandchildren, forty-six great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren; two special friends, Mary Inez Taylor and Marie Johnson both of Camp Hill and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
