Funeral Notice
Mr. Tommie Edwards, 64, of Tuskegee died Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Magnolia Haven Nursing Home, Tuskegee. Funeral services will be held at Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church, 3004 County Road 27, Tuskegee on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. (CST) with Rev. Joe F. Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the New Canaan cemetery, Camp Hill. The remains will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. (CST) until the funeral hour. Public viewing will be at Vines Funeral Home, Friday, December 7, 2018 from 12: 00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (CST).
Mr. Edwards is survived by a devoted companion: Mary Johnson, Tuskegee; one son: Marcus (Yolinda) Edwards, Camp Hill; one stepdaughter: Jenene (Christopher) Kelley and goddaughter: Kimberly (Chester) Cunningham both of Tuskegee; a loving sister: Doretha Heard, Opelika; three brothers: Perry Tolbert (devoted companion, Margie), Richard (Linda) Edwards both of Camp Hill and Willie Joe (Brenda) Edwards, Philadelphia, PA; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends and a godmother: Mrs. Catherine Moore, Tuskegee, and church families at New Canaan Baptist and Rock of Ages.
